Terra Alpha is delighted to welcome Justin “Chester” White to our Advisory Board. Chester brings several valuable perspectives to the board, including work experience at a global multinational, a focus on social/labor issues, and a more youthful viewpoint. Terra Alpha founder Tim Dunn noted, “Chester will enhance our firm’s understanding of the challenges facing companies in their efforts to transition to sustainable business practices, particularly on social benefit and labor policies.” Chester joins an advisory board that has expertise in a diverse range of topics including planetary sciences, investments, corporate reporting, governance, climate adaptation, and policy. The board’s role is to help inform our investment process and engagement work.
Chester heads LTMA Capital, a blended debt and venture fund advancing human rights and gender equality. LTMA (Less Talk, More Action), believes balancing financial returns with societal benefits empowers people and facilitates future reinvestment.
Chester also owns Main Line Social, a forthcoming restaurant and community event space in Carbondale, Colorado. Serving global street food, he has committed to exclusively serve women-owned beers, wines, and spirits and to be a best-in-class employer. He expects to open his doors in early 2026.
Prior to founding LTMA Capital and Main Line Social, Chester served as Manager of Human Rights and Gender Equality at Mars, Inc. In that role, Chester advised business segments on efforts that reduce human rights risks across supply chains including palm oil, mint, sugarcane, and rice. He led a new human rights due diligence approach for carbon offsets and worked to increase focus on social co-benefits in the carbon market. Chester was responsible for stewarding the Full Potential Platform where he partnered with cross-functional peers to drive for gender equality across Mars’ workplaces, supply chain communities, and in the marketplace.
He earned a BA in Elementary School Education from Colorado College, an MA in Responsible Management and Sustainable Economic Development from the United Nations University for Peace, and an MBA in International Business from American University’s Kogod School of Business.
Chester currently serves on four non-profit boards including his alma mater, Colorado College, the Pedigree Foundation, the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, and the Capital Area Food Bank.
Chester and his wife, Molly, welcomed their first child in January of 2024. In his free time, Chester enjoys the outdoors with his family and their dog, Mantequilla, who they adopted while living in Costa Rica.
